About the event

The Gullah Geechee Herb Gathering is an annual event herbal conference organized by A Soulful Touch Wellness to provide a safe, educational and nurturing space for Black and Indigenous herbalists and community to converge to learn from one another, network and support. Our main goal is to help preserve and amplify traditional herbal practices of not only Gullah Geechee People but Black and Indigenous people around the Diaspora.

This two day gathering takes place outdoors and features over 18 herbal and cultural workshops, plant walks, community interaction, an artisan marketplace of black owned businesses, a community altar, a seed/plant swap, and a silent auction.

This event is Black people centered and our main focus is on Black herbalists, teachers, clinicians, healers, botanists, farmers, rootworkers, birthworkers, bodyworkers, community organizations and etc first and foremost, but others are welcomed to attend. This is a family friendly event and we also have children's workshops. This event is being held on Gullah Geechee family owned land in the former Kusso territory.

The conference has 4 sessions of 3 workshops that are presented simultaneously daily.  Attendees are encouraged to choose one workshop per session to attend. Select workshops will be audio recorded and available for purchase after the conference.
