COME SHOWCASE YOUR BLACK OWNED ARTISAN BUSINESS AT THE GULLAH GEECHEE HERBAL GATHERING

We love to highlight small businesses, especially small Black owned businesses with a focus on wellness and wellbeing as well as artisans and crafters! Our goal is to highlight and help give exposure to Black and Indigenous and Gullah Geechee wellness based businesses so that these businesses are more easily identifiable to the community and to each other. By vending at the Gullah Geechee Herbal Gathering you are not only gaining exposure for your business, but also supporting future Gullah Geechee Herbal Gatherings.

What type of vendors are we looking for?

Vendor booths are only available to registered event attendees selling herbs and herbal-related products, handcrafted plant-related items, plant-based edibles ( not cbd), books, handmade jewelry and sustainably produced textiles/clothing. All vendors and vendor helpers must be registered attendees for the Gullah Geechee Herbal Gathering – with no exceptions.  We are also looking for 3 food vendors as well.

2024 Vendor Information & Guidelines

The vendor application below includes general vendor info, setup requirements, vendor policies, and additional info. Please read the full document before applying.

  1. Vendors must represent an established business or service.

  2. The submission of vendor application form does not guarantee a vendor space. You will receive a confirmation email verifying your application has been received.

  3. Selections will be made as we receive applications. Once accepted, vendors must register and pay the vendor fee by May 1, 2024, to secure their spot. Any approvals after May 1 require payment within 1 week of approval. If payment is not received within this time frame, the spot will be offered to someone else.

  4. Vendors are responsible for their own payment processing, providing change to customers and collecting/reporting sales tax, if applicable. Internet and cell coverage is sometimes limited for different service providers at our venue,  so we encourage vendors to take cash and checks.

  5. Tables are not automatically provided, however, if you cannot provide your own, we may be able to assist; please ask about this in advance. We allow one table per booth + shelves or small accent tables.

  6. Vendors must cover their table(s) with fabric tablecloths. No plastic tablecloths are allowed.

  7. Vendors may not conduct business or tear down booths during special events being held in the vending space that take place outside of Marketplace hours. If a workshop or event is being held near your vendor space, vendors must limit the noise near their booths to support a quiet environment.

  8. Vendors must agree to abide by camp and conference policies, specifically but not limited to, the Gullah Geechee Herbal Gathering “no drug, alcohol, or smoking on the property policy.”

  9.  Vendors will be required to have a 10x10 tent for their booth. We highly recommend having weights for your tent.

  10. Vending is only available for Saturday and Sunday. Vendors must vend for both days.

  11. Due to insurance reasons CBD products are prohibited from vending.

  12.  Food vendors ( prepared meals and food trucks) are those who can offer a diverse menu to provide food for varying diets to include vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and meat options. Food vendors are being asked to vend both days to provide breakfast, lunch and dinner options.

  13. Vendor passes include 2 Weekend passes in your company name and a 10x10 vendor space. The cost is $250.  Food vendor passes include 4 Weekend passes. The cost is $325. Any additional person beyond that is $100. Once payment is received, a registration link will be sent.

We look forward to working with you!
